Whether Finance Minister Dr. Babu Ram Bhattarai, the Maoists party senior leader had an altitude sickness flying over the Rara Lake accompanied by his consort, Hisila Yami, in a helicopter, or became the fresh prey of hypertension due to the release of the video tape containing the speech of party president Prachanda wherein he reveals the inner secrets of the party as regards the peace process, Constituent Assembly election, Maoist’s strategic plans to eventually capture the state and what not and what not (Click here), has already become a matter of intense debate in the country.

To add, Prachanda in the course of the speech made as back as January 2, 2008, also says in an indirect manner that Comrade Dr. Babu Ram Bhattarai has already submitted his revolutionary ideologies.

“I had to confront with the entire Eastern Area in charge, that the party as a whole has not adopted Baburam’s submissive policy”, says Prachanda in the course of his speech made in front of the PLA Commanders.

Be that as it may, the already heated Kathmandu’s political circuit has begun analyzing that with Babu Ram suddenly feeling uneasy and thus preferring to stay in Surkhet, the Maoists party must have been internally divided.

“Dr. Babu Ram was already feeling uneasy yet preferred to carry on with his trip to Mugu, but suddenly felt ill and returned to Surkhet”, said a medical practitioner talking to one of the daily newspapers.

“I can not go to Kathmandu”, said Bhattarai adding, “Look for a Hotel right here, we will go to Nepalgunj by road….tomorrow”. Dr. Bhattarai was talking to his wife Comrade Hisila Yami.

Comrade Dr. Bhattarai is currently staying at the Sristhan Hotel in Surkhet.
